| Enolar systems marketing has developed solar air dryers by blending solar thermal and solar photovoltaic technologies. The solar radiation is passed through transparent glass window located on top of the cabinet which is oriented to south with a tilt angle equal to the latitude to collect maximum radiation. The cabinet of the solar air dryers is of anti-corrosive material and modular construction subjected to meet 8 to 50 kg and above sizes and loading capacities. The ambient air enters from the bottom of the cabinet and is heated up with solar radiation incident from the top window. The heat energy is then trapped in the cabinet and heats up the air which results in shifting solar radiation wavelength to infrared region causing green house effect.The hot air carrying moisture from the product is again passed through trays to the space below the glass and the solar photovoltaic fans exhaust this air. The solar fan provides the forced air circulation in the cabinet. The company provides the solar air dryers with electrical heaters as standby to meet any emergencies on non-sunny days. These solar dryer find applications in drying variety of agricultural products and food items such as fruits [grapes, bananas, etc], vegetables [potatoes, onions, etc], grains [paddy, wheat, maize, etc] spices [ginger, garlic, chillies, etc], cash crops [coffee, herbs, flowers, etc], fish and meat and mushrooms. The company can also provide services like designing, commissioning and installation of industrial solar drying systems as per customer needs and requirements.
