| Industrial gear corporation provides pneumatic friction clutches that are highly efficient and convenient devices for stopping and restarting of rotating equipment. These clutches transmit the torque by virtue of a friction force developed. The clutches consist of two parts, i.E. Graded ci outer drum having internal tooth and high efficient cylinder of high accuracy comprising of two toothed brake liners [friction liners] of rigid moulded metallic brass chippings and random fibre asbestos based of ferrodo having high co-efficient of friction and a maximum working pressure of 2800 kgs/cm². The pneumatic clutches operate on air pressure to have uniform and steady pressure on the brake liners to transmit the required torque to stop the rotating members. The air clutches have wide application in textile processing machinery, like continuous and semi-continuous decatising machine, automatic plastic blow moulding machine, drum washers, etc.
