| Pec supplies self priming sewage pumps. Following are some of the constructional features of this self-priming sewage pumps which include: casing is so designed that once it is filled with liquid, it always remains full with liquid even on stoppage thereby giving it a self-priming characteristic; casing is provided with a large passage, impellers are of few vanes, semi-open or open type, so they can handle even suspended solids. Standard material of construction is ci. Pumps in cs bronze, ss and other metals are also made available.
there are some of the technical features of these sewage pumps which include: replaceable wear plates are provided on both sides of the impeller; mechanical seals can be provided in place of gland packing. Suction lift is limited to 7.5 metres. Because of the above features, these pumps are best suitedfor handling sewage muddy water, trash including solids, polluted liquids, waste water, petrol, diesel, kerosene and chemicals. These sewage pumps find their applications in: dewatering foundation trenches, piers, excavations, pits, potholes, etc, by gram panchayats, municipalities, public health departments, large housing colonies, industries like chemical, pharmaceutical, food, cement, paper, sugar, steel, and marine applications for liquid cargo from freighters, barges, pumping out bilges and cooling water for marine engines. The pumps have some dimensional features which include: are available in suction and delivery sizes of 25 mm x 25 mm to 100 mm x 100 mm, covering duty range of head from 5 to 40 m, capacity from 60 to 2,400 lpm, and solids from 5 mm to 22 mm.
