Oil country tubular limited [octl] processes oil country tubular goods required for the oil drilling and exploration industry. Octl`s product range consists of drill pipe, heavy weight drill pipe, drill collars, production tubing, casing, tool joints, couplings, pup joints, nipples, subs, and cross overs. Oil country tubular limited has been assessed and certified by the american petroleum institute quality registrar [apiqr] as being in compliance with iso 9001:2000 quality system. Octl drill collars [slick and spiral] are manufactured from chromium molybdenum alloy steel. The following are its unique features:

1. drill collars are fully heat treated to a brinell hardness and have a minimum notch impact strength of 40 ft-lbs. At 70° f and a minimum elongation of 13%.
2. the mechanical properties meet or exceed api specification 7 requirements.
3. the physical properties are guaranteed one inch below the surface at ambient room temperature.
4. drill collars are made of 4145 h chromium molybdenum alloy steel
5. drill collars are precision trepanned to close bore tolerance and all bores are drifted to api specification 7.
6. spiral drill collars avoid differential pressure sticking in the hole
7. octl drill collars are inspected to comply with api standards.
8. mechanical properties are verified on samples taken from the end of the bar.
9. thread profile, lead, taper, pitch and gage standoff are inspected on each drill collar to all applicable api specifications and recorded as part of the manufacturing records.
