Elmech manufactures electric hoists in modular construction that are offered by eddycranes engineers. These hoists are manufactured for class i, ii, iii and iv duties, conforming to is: 3938, 83. These are available in capacities from 0.5 to 50 tonnes. The modular construction makes easy servicing of the entire hoist assembly, viz, hoisting gearbox, hoist motor with brake, electrical control and trolley drive unit. The different modules are independent of each other and can be separately assembled. It has steel fabricated hoist body and is accurately bored for alignment of all components. The hoist motor has built-in electrohydraulic thruster/dc brakes. This hoist motor is of high torque crane duty. . Modular machine cut helical/spur gears are put in a totally enclosed oil lubricated gearbox. The rope drum is made from mild steel and uses seamless pipes with deep grooves. The hook block is made of forged steel and is tested for 100% overload. Hoist is controlled from floor using independent pushbuttons.
