| Mecord systems and services offers em eye, an electromagnetic field strength and esd event meter combined in one pocket-sized package, from credence technologies inc, usa. This is the first truly portable instrument on the market capable not only of detecting esd events but also of measuring strength of each event and providing event count, as well as data logging capability.When used in esd audits, em eye provides documented record of number of occurrences and strength of each individual esd event with time/date stamp, which can be used for assessing and tracking actual esd environment in esd-sensitive facilities. In addition, it helps to locate other sources of emi and measure field intensity. It can be used to identify sources of interference with normal operation of equipment, verify proper grounding at high frequencies, check status of emitters in ionizers, locate emi leakages in shielding, etc. Em eye features a multifunctional backlit lcd display that shows simultaneously linear and logarithmic values of signal strength, esd event counter and more. Real-time bar-graph indication with zoom allows location of minute differences in emission sources. The detachable thumb-sized broadband directional antenna points to the source of emission. Em eye model ctm045 features data-logging capabilities and comes with windows-based software.
