| `siemag` offers cable cylinder. This cylinder is reliable linear motion with space and cost saving features. Following are some of the technical features of this cable cylinder which include: a variety of application requirements is solved by the simple yet efficient design of the cylinder. Unlike conventional cylinders, the cable cylinder`s stroke is contained within the cylinder iteslf. Equal force is also allowed and to be applied in both directions. These units also known as `rope cylinder` incorporate steel wire ropes coated with pu instead of conventional rigid piston rods. The normal air cylinders require a minimum of twice the stroke length space, whereas cable cylinders require only as much as the stroke length. Cables fastened to both ends of the piston pass through gland seals at the ends of the cylinder tube, go around pulleys and are then joined by a `c` clamp. These cable cylinders find their applications in food processing, material transfer, automotive assembly, tyre industry, foundry, painting booths and textile machinery.
