| Surface finishing equipment co introduced finishing machine for non-ferrous die-cast components a small but high production, rotary barrel type finishing machine. This machine houses a barrel having effective volumetric capacity of approximately 1.5 cu ft. Working principle : non-ferrous die-cast components are loaded into the barrel. When switched on, the barrel rotates and a small size, compact blast wheel throws media on the tumbling components inside. Small burrs, file marks and die defects are removed and a homogenous matt finish is obtained on the component surface. The components are imparted a pleasing silver finish which gives an aesthetic look. The machine does not consume compressed air and requires only 5 hp power to operate. From the constructional point of view electric controls are located centrally and incorporate all safety features. The machine is actually designed for shot blast cleaning of small to medium size components.
