| Shenoy engineering provides multi-axis, multi-spindle milling spm. The spm contains 9 axes and 3 spindle units, which ensure machining the different segments of the same component simultaneously in the same setting. It helps to shun machining the same elements in multiple setting and saves the time. It also enhances productivity and accuracy. Each slide unit moves vertically, crossly and horizontally. The 5 hp spindle units are mounted on the first and the last slide unit has vertical and horizontal axes. The 10 hp ram type milling head, having 500 mm stroke is the cross feed axis. The tilting type right angle attachment generates a superb capability to machine all the four walls of the cavity - two sides, top and bottom. Heavy duty milling operation can be done by spindle units with the support of pre-loaded taper roller bearings. Casehardened guideway strips are for male sliding surface and turcite lining, for the female surfaces. The lubrication on all the sliding and rotating parts is taken care by the well-equipped automatic lubrication system. The feed movements are through lead screw; box nut mechanisms and the feed drive units consist of worm reduction gearbox and vfd controlled motors. A combination of adjustable feed-end limit switches and plc provides an efficient auto-cycle to the machine. The spm is very effective for machining the inner walls of three different pockets in a railway product, namely side frame.
