Shenoy engineering suppliesoffers high precision, high performance micro boring and facing heads. These micro boring & facing head finds its applications in:, which can be used in boring, milling, drilling machines for high precision boring, facing and recessing operations. Boring and facing heads of larger capacity are offered against specific requirements.
following are some of the technical features of these micro boring and facing head which include: it has a boring and facing capacity up to dia 200 mm. A totally enclosed automatic feed traverse mechanism, which acts in combination with the available axial feed of the boring machine, will provide a feed of 0.01 mm per division [1 mm per rotation]. And this feature is best suited, which is ideal for facing operation. An accurate graduated collar, with widely spaced and distinct graduations, enables precise setting of the bore dia. Even within 5 microns, least count being 10 microns per division. Following are some of the hardware features of this boring & facing head which include: by holding the knurled ring by hand or by inserting a rod in the ring, the auto feed can be engaged. By reversing the spindle rotation, the slide is brought back to the home position. The tool holder slide has two tool holding posi tions, so that different diameters of jobs can be machined. The lead screw and box nut are made of high alloy steel and the threads are ground in an imported thread grindingmachineto ensure, which ensures the setting accuracy, repeat accuracy, boring and facing accuracy and back lash within 5 microns, the lead screw and box nut are made of high alloy steel and the threads are ground in an imported thread grindingmachine. The body and the other vita, parts of the head are made of case hardening steel, case hardened and ground to withstand high torsion load and to ensure wear resistance.
