The ink-tank is replaceable as and when the ink is over, and the chip does not need to be reset. A spare ink tank is given free with this cartridge, which acts as a refill.
Thus when the first ink tank is empty all the customer needs to do is to slide out the empty ink tank from the outer cover containing the chip and insert the new ink tank.
