Swetha automation technology offers diamond turning lathe designed for turning the commutator and core [lamination] of armatures. The armature is held in the special v-block [center less operation]. It is driven by a flat endless belt for commutator turning and rotates at 6000 rpm [approx]. An insert type diamond tool is used for turning the commutator. Rubber roller drives the armature for core [lamination] turning. The armature rotates at 3000 rpm [approx]. An insert type carbide tool is used for turning the core. Features: fine and easy adjustment for depth of cut; rugged and compact design; minimum and easy maintenance. Very high quality consistency. Concentricity with in 20 microns. Bar to bar to variation 5 micron; surface finish with 1.5 micron; very high productivity [cycle time for car starter armature including loading and unloading is 15 secs]; less vibration; easy to operate; low power consumption and less area occupied; and two hand operation for safety. Options: auto loading and unloading; lm guides for slide; hydraulic cylinder for feeding; variable frequency drive for variable job speed; and plc logic for sequence of operation. The machine is available for commutator and core turning independent or combined. It is suitable for all types of armature of automobiles self starters, mixies, washing machines motors, etc.
