These controllers give several features such as: soft start, maximum and minimum speed settings; adjustable current limit; motor internal resistance compensation; adjustable rate of acceleration; short circuit protection by means of incoming line fuse; line transient protection by means of metal oxide oxide varister; and compact size, enclosed and open chassis models. Also provided with an optical tack pick up that can be used for giving a feedback signal to the controller or for speed indication.
