Industrial hydraulics has developed vertical cold chamber die casting machine. All the working elements move in a vertical axis, so that the machine resembles a vertical four-pillar press .It stands upright and its tonnages vary as per the job requirement. There is no toggle linkage for lockup, instead a large hydraulic cylinder moves against the resistance from the lower die and stationery platen in application of the die clamping pressure for cycle speed, the clamping ram moves under gravity to a point to lower die drawing large volume of fluid from the reservoir on the top of the machine.
