The noval concept of xtralife wear plate grade xl cc 58 is introduced by wearresist technologies, wear doctors for the core sector industry characteristics of this range of wear plate are hardness of 58 rc and crack free in nature. This range of wear plates developed for wear resistant hard facing in areas where fine particle erosin is created. The another wear plates have stress releving cracks on the surface, which gives the hardness and wear resistance to the material. The requirement for crack free wear plates is due to the stress relieving cracks in wear plates were not found suitable for application and hence the need for develop wear plates with high hardness of alloying elements and are also crack free in nature. They used to provide extended service life at ambient and elevated temperatures im aggressive enviornments involving abrasion, erosion and impact. These wear plates can be cut, bent, formed into shapes and sizes as required and are available in standard sheets of 2200 x 1000 mm, 1100 x 6300 mm, 1400 x 6300 mm sizes in a thickness starting from 3 mm hard facing layers to 10 mm thick layers. The base metal thickness can vary from 6 to 40 mm. These plates are also available in perfabricated form and the requirement of the customer.
