| Jay instruments & systems manufactures metal detectors, model super mepoli ii, from anritsu, japan, an iso 9001/iso 14001 accredited company, and a leading producer of industrial on-line checking and inspection equipment. These detectors find out minuscule foreign metal objects that stray into foods, pharmaceuticals or clothing in the process of manufacture. Theobjective is detecting subtle alterationin an alternating magnetic field of a sensor that a stray metal object causes as it comes along in clothing, etc, on a belt conveyer. Some of the striking features are high sensitivity thanks to the 3-dimensional magnetic circuit analysis; on-line continuous detection, can detect not only magnetic metals but also nonmagnetic metals such as aluminium, copper and stainless steel; high sensitivity, high stability; very easy to set-up and operate; dsp technology - digital signal processing for auto setting, auto tracking, auto balance; and compatibility with haccp is achieved through recording of events, rejection data, sensitivity setting and 100 % washable ip66 unit. The belt is one touch removable and can be immersed in boiling water. Drive belts are avoided by using direct coupling motors. Run check function is incorporated - pseudo metal contamination detection signal synchronised with product fed on the conveyor. These metal detectors also provides: printer capability, password protection, anti bacterial sheet for operation panel and no paint for contamination
