| Orion electronics offers signal conditioners manufactured by dataforth. Dataforth scm9b products include fixed and programmable sensor to computer, and computer to analogue output interface modules, rs232/rs485 converters, rs485 repeaters, accessories and application software. Scm9b 1000/ 2000 sensor to computer modules give complete sensor to rs232c or rs485 interfaces with 15-bit measurement resolution. They accept various voltage, current, thermocouple, rtd, thermistor, bridge, timer/frequency, and multi-channel digital inputs. The series 2000 modules comprise additional programmable feature like linearisation, ascii output scaling, to the desired engineering units, and straightline segment approximation. Scm9b 3000/ 4000 are computer to analogue output modules. These are complete isolated interfaces equipped for remote installation and communication with host computer using rs-232c and rs 485 serial ports. Resolution offered is 12-bit in a range of analogue output voltages; and currents. Series 4000 modules have fully programmable output slopes, true analogue read back and data scaling. Scm9b-a 1000/2000 converters and repeaters convert rs-232c communication signal levels to the correct rs-485 signal requirements, and may also be configured as repeaters to extend communication bus lengths. They are optically isolated, does not require external control signals and are completely transparent to host software. These modules have 500 v rms analogue input/output isolation, continuous self calibration, scaling, linearisation, segment approximation, ascii command/response protocol, 300- 38,400 baud, free data logging and process control software.
