They are reliable & all digital, the meter can be equipped with rollers for tapes, web, sheets, etc.

Selection of tension values to display in grams
Newton or ibs
Rechargeable nimh batteries for power supply
Autiomatic shut off after 10 minutes of no use
All calibration values traceable to national standard
Tx-1000 standard resolution is 5 gm, adjustable to 1 gm & tx-5000 standard resolution is 10gm adjustable to 5 gm. Calibrations lockout feature avoid change to previous valves. Password protection maintains security against unauthorised changes.
In addition specific models are available to for different types of material, including wire edm machines, tapes [or any long flat, thin material] yarns & fibres.
