| Rotary positive displacement twin screw pumps with external bearing design handle all clean media of low viscosity, eg, gasoline, hydrocarbons, sea water and also highly viscous liquids, eg, mineral oils, bitumen, glues, molasses and many others. With the correct selection of material, aggressive media such as acids can also be pumped. These pumps from ut are self-priming and have low npsh requirements [up to 1.5 metre]. Liquid with high proportion, of entrained gases or air up to 70%, can also be pumped easily. Since the pumping elements, ie, the screws, run free of contact, it is possible to pump lubricating or non-lubricating liquids, and, this pump can also run dry. This feature is very useful for stripping tanks and also long suction lines. These pumps find applications in loading, unloading, booster, transfer, process applications in power plants, oil terminals, refineries, chemical, petrochemical and many others. Twin screw pumps are available in different sizes for maximum capacity of 2,000 m3/hr and discharge pressure up to 50 bar and operating temperature up to 450°c.
