| Universal machine tools corporation manufactures geared head lathe machine, model turner dx 215, with good quality casting. These machines come with a bed made from high grade ccasting, head stock using taper roller bearings and the spindle from en 8 alloy steel with grinding and hardening. Gears of these lathe machine are made from en 8 and en 24 steel process of hardening and profile grinding. These machines are equipped with a quick change norton gearbox as time saver equipment to change rapidly feed and thread gears. The saddle has surface and compound screws of these lathe machines are made from en 8 steel. Millimeter dials are fitted to facilitate machining to very close limits. The apron is a four walled close type with oil sump and quality gears. Bearings and bronze metal bushes are fitted for smooth operation. The tailstock spindle is made from en 8 steel. It is hardened and ground, and can be off set for taper turning. The machine has height of centre 205 mm, admit between centre 1000 mm, spindle bore 50 mm, with speed range 60/1100 rpm.
