Presented by ringspaan elecon [india] limited in association with ringspann gmbh, germany the industrial disc brakes can be used for various functions, ie, as a parking brake it blocks the unintended start of a stationary shaft; as a stopping brake it brings a rotating shaft to a standstill in a short time, even when this is only in connection with a power failure or emergency stop; as a control brake it sustains a certain tension in the material. Brake callipers or brake saddles may be arranged in any position on disc brakes of varying diameters. By using several brake callipers on the same disc it is possible to increase the brake torque not witht the need to enlarge the installation dimensions to any great extend. All brakes are offered with an electric wear indicator and with automatic wear adjustment. Advantages: friction blocks free from asbestos, swivel mounted friction blocks ensure full face contact on the brake disc and surface areas protected against corrosion. The company delivers brake discs of 6 mm, 12.5 mm or 25 mm thickness up to 520 mm diameter. Other products offered by the company are indexing, overrunning, backstopping and irreversible clutches, cone clamping, torque limiters, precision clamping.
