| Qu-con inc. Supplies a frp repair epoxy stick , called aquamend . It is a versatile, unique, hand kneadable instant action epoxy putty of american origin, ideal for repairs of almost all types of engineering plastics as well as fibre reinforced plastics and especially hdpe , which is normally difficult to mend. Aquamend is also most reliable epoxy stick[putty] for repairs of wet and damp areas and under water applications, stopping leaks under flow condition, on-line without shut down for pipelines carrying not only water but also vast range of chemicals including acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons, salts, brine and solvents. This frp repair epoxy stick comes in 4 oz, 114 gm, 7 inch long stick form, containing curing agent encapsulated in concentric base material spread over entire length. One simply needs to cut, knead and apply. There is nothing to weigh or measure. The frp repair epoxy stick has 100% solid contents, does not shrink or get decolourised when exposed to uv radiation. Cured aquamend is fully machinable. It can be cut, sawed, drilled, tapped, turned on lathe, machined on milling machine. It can be sanded and painted. This frp repair epoxy stick has 3 years plus shelf life and repairs in just fifteen minutes. It has shore d hardness of 65 - 75 as per astm d-2240, lap shear tensile strength of 800-1000 psi as per astm d-1002, and compressive strength of 12,000 psi as per astm d -695. Operational temperature limit is 125°c continuous. The frp repair epoxy stick is also very good electrical insulating material as it has dielectric strength of 300 v/mil as per astm d-149 and very high electrical resistance of 30,000 megohms as per astm d-257. Since aquamend has almost zero shrinkage, it can be cast accurate. It is the most reliable as well as most economical frp repair product proven in indian conditions.
