| Metfab manufactures hydraulic shears with facility of varying the rake angle between blades. Sheets of thickness higher than nominal capacity can be cut to shorter lengths at maximum rake angle. The rake angle can be adjusted by pre-selection from operator console panel. The blade clearance is adjusted by levers on side and is calibrated directly in terms of thicknesses for different materials. The hydraulic hold downs are located very close to the blade providing positive gripping on narrow strips and preventing sheet slippage for longer life of blades. Shear design enables ram to move at 1-1.5° inclination so that cut strips are not trapped between backgauge and the bottom blade and to avoid the non-cutting edges of the blade from nabbing against the sheet. The synchronised hydraulic cylinders are vertically guided by means of pre-loaded rollers. System design incorporates overload protection, instant stoppage, stroke length adjustment etc. The machines do not need to be lubricated. These shears are available from capacity 3.15 mm to 25 mm thickness in working lengths 1500 mm, 2000 mm, 2500 mm, 3000 mm and 4000 mm. Optional features and accessories available include nc back gauge, rear sheet support, anti-twist device for narrow strips, automatic rake angle and blade gap setting, nc stacker, nc front feeder, etc.
