These which are available in two models-ls285, a compact unit for 12 v batteries, and ls485, a universal unit for 12/24 v batteries. The main feature of the battery charger cum dg set starting units is that apart from charging the batteries, these it can deliver very high starting currents [up to 485 a in case of ls485]. Hence iit is possible to start a dg set with totally discharged batteries or with no batteries at all.
