• Add to Inquiry Basket | The new rapidturn sl - 12 [d] and sl -14 [d] xf series slant bed double head cnc turning centers are the most productive and cost effective machines for turning operations on "chucking jobs" like gear blanks, pump parts, fan parts, hubs, brake drums, bearing rings, bushes, etc. These machines have two heads facing each other with one main slide [z-axis] and cross slide [x-axis]. These machines are provided with "liner tooling system" with up to six tools for each head. Features: high grade "meehanite" castings for strength and vibration damping; 45 degree "true slant bed" design [with torque tube] for very high rigidity and accuracy; heavy duty lm guideways for higher rapids and longer life; spindles mounted on high precision angular contact bearings; servo motors with "absolute encoders" to eliminate need for referencing; servo motors coupled directly with ball screws with torsion free coupling; heavy duty base with inbuilt foundation for rigidity and vibration damping. |
