Instrumentation & controls manufactures a horizontal cold chamber pressure die casting machine featuring latest technology of hydraulics and die-casting. This type of instrument can be used for casting a weights up to 2,000 gm of aluminium. This series hccpdc [lc] machine is available in 60, 120, 160 and 200 tonne capacity models. The machine base is of welded steel construction and houses hydraulic pump, controls and accessories. Lower part of the base forms a reservoir for 150 or 200 litres of hydraulic oil. Die locking is effected by a hydraulic cylinder and a sturdy toggle mechanism that exerts an evenly distributed force on the platens. The die height [horizontal gap between platens] is adjustable within the specifications. Locking force is infinitely adjustable to maximum value. Four steel tie-bars are provided duly toughened, precisely ground and hardchrome plated to ensure smooth operation of moveable platens. The hydraulic system uses the best indigenous drive and control equipment, and is generously designed with an adequately rated vane pump. The directional and pressure control valves are gasket mounted to minimize pressure drop. The machine has effective lubrication and water cooling systems.The main application areas includes are pressure die casting of aluminium and mazak [zinc alloy].
