| Kavitsu transmissions manufactures shaft mounted speed reducer. It is used in conveyors. Shaft mounted speed reducers are available in three different ratios - 5:1, 13:1 and 20:1 - designed in 8 different models. Depending on size, these can transmit power up to 175 hp max, with ratio 5:1 and up to 75 hp max, with ratio 13:1 or 20:1. Shaft mounted speed reducers come with solid shaft on the input side to mount pulley and a hollow output shaft to allow the gearbox to be mounted directly on the driver shaft. This ensures fullproof alignment of gearbox and avoidance of foundation, coupling, etc. A torque -arm anchoring method provides a quick and easy adjustment by means of turnbuckle. Carburised case and ground gears affirms proper load ratings and performance. Provision is made to adopt a backstop to avoid reversal of rotation. Special care is taken while designing and adopting oil seals, due to which, shaft mounted speed reducers give trouble free performance in severe applications like taconite mining, rock processing, fertilizer plants, etc.
