| Goma engineering offers plate heat exchangers [phe]. The physical construction is made up of a phe unit consists of a frame in which independent metal plates are clamped between a head and a follower. The plates are sealed at their outer edges and around the posts by gaskets. Alternate pairs are connected via ports forming two separate flow systems. As a result of temperature differences between the liquids on the plate surface, heat transfer between the two media systems occur, often in counter flow through the plates. The plates are designed in keeping with the developments in thermodynamics and their profile results in high thermal efficiencies promoted by turbulent flow. These phes are made with technical know-how from gea-ahlborn gmbh of germany, which is one of the largest plate manufacturing company in the world. Salient features: plates made of ss 316 and frame made of ss 304; the lock-in gasket is held by a pressure stud system, which makes easy replacement of the gaskets and the plates are free of adhesive; increase in capacity possible with the same frame; plates have an integral hanging eye enabling smooth movement along the carrying beam and providing perfect alignment; and separate hanging clips not required.
