These delstar converters switch the motor to star mode when the load is less than 50 per cent. And when the load increases beyond 50 per cent, they automatically switch the motor to operate in the delta mode. The digital display continuously indicates the actual current consumed. In star mode, the current consumption drops to 1/3rd thereby saving a lot of energy. The main application of these digital delstar converters is in any industry using a star delta motor with load variations can use these delstar converters and save energy. The digital delstar converters can be used with any capacity of motor by choosing appropriate current transformers. Savings that are made can be calculated, verified and monitored with in-built star and delta hour meters. Only the unwanted wasted energy oghterwise is trapped and saved with the delstar converters. Apart from the direct energy savings, indirect savings include reduction in maximum demand, reduction in kva, improvement in power factor, etc. Typical applications in industries include engineering, toolrooms, cement, sugar, rubber, plastic, chemical, petrochemical, fertiliser, breweries, distilleries, textile, etc.
