| Fluidtherm fluidised bed furnace is highly capable of efficient carburizing of gudgeon pins. Being able to maintain precise carbon potentials, these bed furnaces utilize short cycle times as compared to other conventional furnaces to create consistent case depths. The fluidised bed furnace`s capability to maintain absolutely neutral atmosphere during the diffusion cycle prevents the problem of decarburization or excessive retained austenite. A uniform temperature prevailing across the entire cross section of the fluidised bed furnace facilitates in minimising distortion. Its precisely engineered process cycles produce an extremely hard and wear resistant case with a very good resistance to shock. Besides, the process of quick heat up and cool down times, reduced power consumption and the absence of any kind of toxic effluents offers an economic, efficient and non-polluting method of heat treatment
