This indirect form of tension control relies on an electronic computation of instantaneous roll diameter, to regulate the torque constantly against varying diameters during turndown or build-up of the rolls. Standard features include zero-speed sensing, taper setting, inertia compensation and more. These controls are adaptable for use with different forms of brakes/ clutches.
