Shimadzu offers the latest optical emission spectrometer, model oes-5500 which provides rapid and accurate simultaneous determination of as many as 64 elements in ferrous and non-ferrous based metals. The area of applications include quantitative determination of trace and major elements in ingots and alloys of iron, aluminium, copper, lead, magnesium, tin, zinc, etc. The salient features include:
- patented pda technique and analysis within 15 seconds;
- excellent accuracy and repeatability; best results even for samples having cracks and pin-holes; unsensitive to ambient temperature fluctuations;
- automatic electrode cleaning and analysis of nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen and sodium; ergonomic, compact and vertical design;
- the spectrometer is windows-based user-friendly software; and has the facility of factory calibration, global calibration, charge calculation, alloy identification program, etc.
