| Rudrashakti electronics provides capacitor sentinel, an efficient way to monitor the distribution of generated electricity, so that transmission losses are kept to a minimum possible level. In the same way as domestic or commercial energy meter readings are collected at a central point for billing purposes, with the help of this device, decision making senior engineers of the electricity board can have access to the requisite system parameters in the form of printouts from various points along the transmission line. This is a microprocessor based intelligent instrument for monitoring and controlling capacitors at unattended electrical sub-stations and pole-mounted control panels.The main applicable features with this capacitor sentinel include : measures system pararneters like voltage, current, pf, kvar, rkvah; monitors and controls system power factor through static capacitor banks; controls up to 6 stages of capacitor banks of suitable rating; protects capacitors against over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current, and resonances due to leading pf; based on detected unbalance in the system, isolates faulty capacitors; provides signal output to external printer at fixed intetvals or when required; printout obtained on a printer carries essential details; kvar based sensing for optimum performance and for avoiding hunting of capacitors; and operation of system within specified voltage and current limits. Depending on technical feasibility, customer-suggested specifications can be incorporated in the system. Optional facilities for digital indication of pf can be provided on request. Dimensions: ms painted box 144 mm x 144 mm front x 200 mm depth, 138 mm x 138 mm panel cut-out, 5 mm x 20 mm long brass terminals for external connections. Led indications on front panel for date/time setting, and fault conditions. Up to 8 capacitor bank stages can be connected to the system.
