Mettler toledo`s digital density meters measures density, specific gravity and other related values [i.E. Alcohol%, brix°, api degrees] with high precision and short measuring time. Unique features are:
A hollow glass tube vibrates at a certain frequency.
This frequency changes when the tube is filled with the sample: the higher the mass of the sample, the lower the frequency. This frequency is measured and converted into density.
Benchtop instruments are equipped with a built-in peltier thermostat to control the temperature [no water bath required]
