• Add to Inquiry Basket | Mecd instruments offers mecd 4680 clamp-on ground resistance and leakage current tester. This is a non-contact type of innovative solution for measuring ground resistance and leakage current of any electrical installation. This method of measurement completely eliminates the use of ground and auxiliary rods, thus saving a lot of time and avoiding shutdown. This tester is capable of accurately measuring ground resistance from 0.025 to 1,500 ohm and leakage currents in trms mode from 0.200 ma to 10 a ac. This is suitable for ground wire or strip up to diameter 35 mm. On power-on, mecd 4680 performs a self-calibration check and this can be verified by using the standard resistance template provided. The instrument is based on a unique principle in which, a pre-defined current is injected in the ground circuit under test, and then the induced magnetic current thereby generated in the circuit, is measured at a high frequency by use of special clamp-on current transformers in the instrument. This is an extremely handy device, especially at places where it is next to impossible to measure earth/ground resistance by conventional methods. Substantial time saving and easy operating justify the investment in these instruments.
