| Mumbai-based asea brown boveri limited manufactures aalpha energy meter is manufactured by mumbai-based asea brown boveri limited. This alphaenergy meter, which is a totally electronic polyphase electricity meter and integral register which that collects, processes and stores data of energy used and demand data on a time-of-the-day or demand basis.The alpha meter is available for both ht & lt applications. Following are some of the technical features which are provided by this alpha meter which include: any alpha meter can be upgraded to any other configuration with the use of option boards and simple reprogramming techniques. Accuracy and stability is built into the alpha meter from the ground up. Based on an innovative electronic circuit design that uses surface mount technology[mt] and application specific integrated circuits [asic], the alpha meter functions over a wide dynamic current range and under extreme environmental operating conditions. The alpha meter lcd provides an exceptional level of detailed information to the user. It includes six digits for display of metered quantities and constants and three digits for numeric identifiers. It has alpha identifiers and potential indication for each phase. It also has directional pulse indicators with end of interval indication facility. Technical data include: some of the technical specifications of the meter are as follows:* starting current - 0.1 percent of ib * nominal frequency - 50 hz * accuracy class - 0.2/0.5 * applicable standards - iec 687 * operating range - voltage: +20 percent to 30 percent of vref; frequency: 50 hz +/- 10 percent; temperature: -40 deg c to + 60 deg c; humidity: up to 100 percent rh [non-condensing] * insulation resistance: greater than 100 megaohms * impulse voltage: 6-kv/1.2/50 mu sec * ac voltage: 2.5 kv rms at 50 hz, 60 sec some of the electric features which are provided by this alpha meter which are as follows: alpha meter lcd provides an exceptional level of detailed information to the user; includes six digits for display of metered quantities and constants and three digits for numeric identifiers; has alpha identifiers and potential indication for each phase;also has directional pulse indicators with end of interval indication facility.
