| Applied research & engineering produces simple, compact, economical and accurate dead weight testers for calibration of pressure gauges. The tester is equipped with a high quality steel plunger which is free to move vertically in a close fit steel barrel that is firmly set in a mild steel block. Oil is used to transmit the known pressure to load the gauge and a screw pump is used to apply oil pressure on the plunger. A set of standard adapters in bsp is provided with the equipment and a set of weights is directly marked in suitable values of pressure. Five models of dead weight testers are produced with different pressure capacities ranging from 0.5 kg/cm2 to 600 kg/cm2 and least count ranging from 0.5 kg/cm2 to 3 kg/cm2 depending upon the model. The testers are widely used in engineering, automobile, process, chemical, mining and rubber industries, and engineering institutes, railways, defense, etc.
