Process instrumentation & controls has developed a very extraordinary ink for retort flexible laminated pouches. In the last few years there has been a very high use of these specialized retort flexible laminated pouches in various packaging needs. Retort flexible laminated pouches are high strength, heat resistant and are thermally saturated at around 121 °c. The majority of pouches are composed of a 3 layer film with polyethylene terepthalate [pet] on the outside face, and a core of aluminum foil with an inner layer of polypropylene copolymer.
it can work up to 250 °c and does not have any color evaporation at all. The ink work completely when in touch with water. The ink can also withstand an ultra violet exposure of up to wool scale no.6.
