| Umang extruder is designed in various sizes from small size machines handy for r&d purpose to larger size machines for production purpose. The extruder is used for converting the powder-material [which does not get sticky when mixed with binders] into extrudes/granules. The premixed dough with binder are mixed in the mixer and are then fed in the feed hopper of the extruder. The hopper is planned in such a way that the material does not form cavitations while being pressed between the two rollers. Of the two rollers, one is the die roller and the other, a knurling roller [pressing roller]. The die roller is made in such a way that when the extrusions come out, the material passes through without jamming the holes of the roller. The extrusions that come out of the die roller are cut to standard finite length with an adjustable cutter attached in front of the die roller. The diameter of extrusions depends upon the size of the perforations [holes] present in the die roller. Optional accessories are: ac drive for speed control with digital rpm indicator; diverse diameter die rollers; uninterrupted cooling arrangement during extrusion operation; and, direct connection from extruder to spheroidizer. Extruders are used in pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries. Advantages: up to 96% uniformity, depending on formulation, ease of changing die roller if diameter of extrusions is to be diverse, and, length of extrusions is adjustable.
