| Soham engineers manufactures and offers flexible shaft couplings that connect two shafts to transmit torque, motion, etc. These are couplings that can adjust themselves to misalignment of two shafts connected by them. Misalignment may be angular, parallel or skew. When motion transmission is important, the misalignment should not affect the velocity and acceleration of the shaft. This calls for a torsionally rigid, yet flexible coupling. These couplings offer advantages using special machining processes. Features include: aluminium alloy, stainless steel, brass, nylon material; inbuilt flange clamping or set screw clamping; angular offset up to 5 degrees; parallel offset up to 0.2 mm no backlash; constant velocity transmission; torsionally stiff; and one-piece construction. Applications are in shaft encoders, tachogenerator, potentiometers and variacs, stepper and synchronous motors, damper drives, rotary position transmitters, etc.
