Special armatures are available for high speed applications. Mechanical and electrical customizations of the machines are possible to match the application requirements. The features of the medium dc motor are:
Conformity to bs 5000, is 4722 and nema specifications.
Class f insulation with the temperature rise restricted to 85°c.
On request, tropical treatments can be provided for the windings.
Vacuum pressure impregnation is used for high reliability.
Dynamically balanced rotors to minimize vibrations.
Generously sized shafts that can withstand 8 times the full load torque.

Enclosures - ip23, ip23r/44s, ip44, ip54, ip55.

Low field power.
Skewed armatures for low noise levels.
Sparkless commutation for low noise levels.
Heat exchanger machines have makeup filters to ensure dust free operation.
Motors are protected from blower failures by airflow switches that ensure that the machines do not run without cooling.
