T square technologies manufactures viscoelastic sheets/tapes from unique, high density, highly viscoelastic material. Some of the features of these damping materials include both `viscous` and `elastic` characteristics; viscous to damp vibrational energy by converting it to negligible heat and elastic to allow it to recover after each vibration cycle repetitively; and highly flexible material that can be cut for ease of application. Self adhesive viscoelastic sheets/tapes are useful for maximizing efficient vibration damping by applications like 1.Damping material should be applied to the surface section where vibrational energy causes most bending or flexing in usually the thinnest section or central areas of the larger sheet; 2. The stiffness and mass of the damping material should be comparable to that of the vibrating material. These self-adhesive viscoelastic sheets/tapes are available with characteristics like treatment through cyclic tension/compression deformation resulting in dissipation or energy; sheets in 300 x 300 mm sizes; sheets made using limp mineral loaded viscoelastic polymer with 200 to 800 gm mass per sheet; sheets with vinyl/fabric facing in colours to present decorative outlook; adhesive tapes in 50 mm x 1 mtr size; and plain or vinyl/fabric backing.
