| Injection-transfer rubber moulding presses, from damania & sons, gives considerable advantages over standard compression moulding processes. The heated mould is closed and rubber injected through feed holes. This method can produce high precision parts in moderate quantities without high tooling costs and reduces curing time. Another advantage is that rubber compound used in compression moulding processes need not be changed. Hydraulic or mechanical core-lifters enable quick removal of components without damage to moulds. Presses are available with plc control with programming flexibility for parameters such as bumping. Users of compression moulding who have changed to these presses have experienced significant increase in production rates and lower electricity or fuel charges.
