Van norman machine [india] supplies a complete line of horizontal and vertical honing machines to suit a variety of industrial and automotive applications. These machines are manufactured by sunnen products company of usa and the range includes portable/manual basic honing machines to fully automatic honing machines. The machines are characterized by large diameter and long tube hones. The range covers from a mere 5 mm id to 380 mm id and length up to 3.5 meters. Honing tolerance below 1 micron [0.001 mm] and surface finishes down to 0.02 µm ra are possible. Maximum accuracy level of the honing machines can be achieved with the ml-3500 model.
The salient features include: fast stock removal rates which can eliminate preliminary reaming, boring or grinding; suitable with handling workpieces of almost any size or configuration, a fast set-up, user-friendly; and optional automation of size control [optional].
