The spark ignited gaseous fueled engines are meant for industrial use. The Gas Engines are large bore & stroke engines with counterweighted crankshaft and hence provide more reliability. These engines can run on varieties of gaseous fuel like natural methane gas, biogas, landfill gas, propane, etc. Durability and minimum downtime have made the gas engines ideal for critical and continuous duty applications. When used in CHP application, these engines provide a fast payback period. Spark ignited gaseous fuel powered engine ranges from 75 KW to 3250KW. 1500RPM as well as 1000RPM rich burn and lean burn gas engines are also available.

These Gas Engines are widely used in prime power generation, captive cogeneration, gas compression and other mechanical drive applications. Other applications are peak shaving and stand by.
