Super industries persents double mechanical seals [type si-101], a combination of two seals mounted bakc to back or one seal having both side sealing faces or tandem type and can be single-coiled or multi-spring and can have a combination of unbalace/balance or balance/balance tandem types. The seals are ideals for handling of toxic/abrasive media. To cool the sealing faces during operation, a clean compatible liquid is circulated between the two seals at a pressure higher by one bar than the liquid being pumped. The inner seal prevents the liquid from entering the system while the outer seal prevents it from leaking to the atmosphere. The seals are perfect answer for sealing highly abrasive, volatile and toxic liquids. Multiple springs offer uniform pressure all over the seal faces and ensure reliability under all conditions.
