Some of the hardware features of these chemical pumps include: a horizontal single stage centrifugal pump, the sole selling agent in north india is rahul engineers; complete pump rotating element can be withdrawn towards the motor end without disturbing the suction or delivery pipe lines, due to `back pull out` design; motor remains fixed to base plate; pump rotating elements can easily be dismantled into its components. Following are some of the technical features of these chemical pumps: the pump has one-piece self-venting volute casing with end suction and top centreline delivery branch; pump feet are integrally cast into volute casing. The feet at bottom transfer residual pipe stress by the shortest possible route to the base plate and foundation.
This chemical pump incorporates closed or semi open redial impeller specially designed for low npsh requirements. Back vanes balance this chemical pump hydraulically, or in the case of large impeller diameters by balancing holes and wear rings on both sides. Impeller nut ensures the reliable fixing of impeller on the shaft, shaft is guided in oil lubricated angular contact and cylindrical roller bearings, alignment of bearings is ensured by appropriate centrings and modern manufacturing methods, shaft is fully protected from the liquid to be pumped by means of fully enclosed ptfe gasket between the impeller nut-shaft, end-shaft sleeve, properly dimensioned shaft exhibits minimum deflection at stuffing box, resulting in long operational life for mechanical seals. All pumps belonging to a bearing frame have identical shaft, bearing, shaft sleeves and impeller fastenings. Apart from this standard sight glass, every bearing frame can be provided with a constant level oiler. For pumping temperature over 1800 c or 1600 c in case of steam-jacketed pumps a lubricating oil cooling circuit can be fitted in the oil pumps of bearing frame. Supplied with either packing or mechanical seals is stuffing box with connection for sealing and flushing liquid. Simple change-over from packing to mechanical seal is possible with the aid of standardised conversion parts without re-machining. Mechanical seals of various makes, unbalanced as well as balanced ones can be easily fitted in the standard stuffing box.
