| Hmm provides manufactures mineral powders of whitish coloured mica, feldspar and quartz. These products are used for use in manufacture of arc welding electrodes. Mica powder is used as an insulation coating on metal wire which provides protection to welding rods. Mica powders are supplied in 60, 100 and 200 mesh size, feldspar powder in 200 mesh size and quartz powder in 150 mesh size, packed in 50 kg bags. Following are some of the technical features of this mica powder which include:it helps in forming a fusible slag and also ensures a good seal at fusion zone;. It protects the rods from the action of heat, gaseous and other surrounding atmospheric elements;. The mica contains 10-12% potash [k2o] which helps to provide more stable arc and is suitable for welding. Feldspar powder contains 10-14% potash [k20] and quartz powder contains 98-99.5% silica [sio2]. Mica powders are supplied in 60, 100 and 200 mesh size, feldspar powder in 200 mesh size and quartz powder in 150 mesh size, packed in 50 kg bags.
