| Hmm, in bihar, supplies manufactures composite mica insulation/spacers. This mica insulation is used for lifting magnets. These mica insulations are provided come in shape of circular washers, rectangular, bi-polar and u-shaped design, half round and in other shapes. These insulations are made in 3 types: i] consisting several layers of fibre glass cloth including two outer top and bottom layers and rest resin bonded mica films; ii] consisting two outer top and bottom layers of glass fibre and rest resin bonded mica; and iii] consisting resin bonded mica films only. These insulations are solidly bonded with high thermal stability resins. This mica insulation finds its applications it is being used in-between coils and in-between coils and body in high voltage lifting magnets. Physical configurations of this insulation include: the available shapes are circular washers from 4 to 70 outer dia [od] x 2 to 50 inner dia [id] x 1 to 10 mm thickness; and rectangular sheets from 2 to 80 length x 2 to 22 width x 0.5 to 15 mm thick. These have dielectric strength of 20 kv/mm minimum with high thermal resistance, high mechanical strength.The sides of lifting magnets are sealed by using glass mica tapes, glass mica glass tapes and nomex mica type of class `h` insulation. Following are some characteristics which include: it is asbestos-free, harmless to human health and a replacement for asbestos sheets and other laminates. It is economical and reliable. This mica insulation it finds application by oems, repair industries, steel plants, iron ore-scrap handling plants, heavy mechanical and process industries, dock yards, shipping ports, machine building, material, handling, induction furnaces and by electrical industries.
