The parameters that are considered while manufacturing furnaces heaters are as follows: operating temperature; maximum short up temperature; atmosphere of furnace; surface loading vs temperature; selection of wire/strip and quality grade of wire precisely; electrical phase distribution; controlling mechanism of temperature - thyristorised temperature controls enhances life of furnace heaters dramatically; section of lead outs as well as proper welding with heating elements prevents premature failure of heating elements constituting the furnace heaters; and selection of refractory supports to withstand temperature and thermal shocks, usage of advanced insulating material - fibrothal - introduced by sandvik, kanthal division, has superseded even ceramic fibre lining of furnaces in many areas.
